Musculoskeletal (Orthopaedic) Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy focuses on accurate assessment and diagnosis of dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system which include muscles, tendons, bones, joints, ligaments, discs, faulty posture and various biomechanical imbalances that may lead to aches/pains. We will form a treatment plan depending on a detailed clinical assessment which will involve the most efficient ways to manage your problem.
Sports physiotherapy is a specialised area of physiotherapy which deals with injuries and issues related to people involved in professional or recreational sports.
Be it a professional athlete, a recreational player or a weekend warrior, their passion drives them to push their body every time they hit the field. Participating in sports is fun and one of the great ways to stay healthy, but one may end up stressing his body beyond its natural capacity, leading to injuries.
At Replay physio we help you bridge the gap between what you aspire to achieve and what your current capacity/injury status is. Our expert Physios will perform a complete evaluation/screening and design a rehabilitation programme targeted to your injuries as well as preventing them in future.
We may liaise with your coach, other medical professionals and support staff to make a customised rehabilitation/performance enhancement program for you.
CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT
Chronic pain is pain persisting after 12 weeks of an injury despite various medical as well as non medical interventions. You may feel that there still must be something wrong or undiagnosed.
However, once anything medically dangerous has been ruled out, most things in the body heal by 3 to 6 months. So in this kind of pain, it is less about the tissue damage in the body and more about the sensitivity of the nervous system.
It tends to become quite frustrating when it starts hampering your day to day life as well as your social life. We, at REPLAY, adopt a holistic approach to your pain and target all the areas affecting your pain using a multimodal approach.
PHYSIO SUPERVISED CLASSES
We bring to you one-on-one class as well as a wide variety of group classes based on your area of complaint or your sport. These classes will be undertaken under the supervision of our expert Physiotherapist which minimises the chances of injuries, simultaneously ensuring best possible outcomes. Group classes make exercising a lot more fun, interesting and interactive and are great in maintaining your fitness levels.
PRE & POST-SURGERY REHABILITATION
Pre-operative rehabilitation (Prehab) is as important as Post operative rehabilitation. The speed and the quality of the recovery of the post-surgical rehabilitation is highly dependent on the strength and conditioning of the muscles prior to the operation. We aid in both pre and post surgical management of all kinds of surgeries.
The post surgical rehabilitation programme involves a progressive exercise routine that eventually enables you to be become functionally independent as well as allowing you to play your sport if you are an athlete.
Musculoskeletal screening involves the assessment of the health and function of your joints, bones, cartilage, ligaments, muscles, tendons, spinal discs, posture which helps to understand your body mechanics.
Biomechanical assessment is a detailed critical assessment of the entire kinetic chain that gives a better understanding of how the human body moves as a whole rather than an individual segment. For e.g., in order to achieve an ideal bowling pattern, along with adequate mobility and strength in your shoulder, elbow and wrist, an optimal functioning of your spine, core and lower limbs is also essential.
At REPLAY Physio, we will perform a biomechanical assessment and screening which will include posture and gait analysis along with your general and sport-specific movements/activities. Depending on the dysfunction found during your assessment, we will design a rehabilitation program which will focus on correcting the impairments as well as optimize the function of the kinetic chain.
Women’s Health encompasses a plethora of musculoskeletal and pelvic floor issues which can arise during and after pregnancy or otherwise in a woman’s life span. For example, Neck and back pain, postural changes, urinary incontinence, neuropathies, diastasis recti etc.
At REPLAY Physio, we evaluate and create awareness on the postural correction the woman is going to experience throughout the pregnancy. Based on our assessment, we would guide and teach you the antenatal and postnatal exercises which would improve your strength & stability, in order to cope with the barrage of musculoskeletal changes commonly occurring during pregnancy.
ERGONOMIC ADVICE AND MANAGEMENT
Work-related musculoskeletal disorders refer to injuries developed over time that are caused by a combination of risk factors that act simultaneously on your body or a joint, in a synergistic effect at your workplace.
→They may be a combination of various physical factors ( eg. Sustained and awkward postures, repetitive movements causing stress overload), psychological factors (eg. Work pace, task demands) as well as individual factors (eg. age, gender, current levels of fitness).
→For maximizing outcomes at the workplace, the individual's capacity should be hand in hand with the work demands. Failure to do this may result in muscle strains, imbalances, fatigue and long standing pain.
→At REPLAY Physio, we will develop a comprehensive prevention / intervention strategy depending on your problem and Goal to improve your functional fitness. This is carried out in collaboration with the client, keeping in mind factors like availability of time, facilities, motivation, workload as well as baseline fitness of the client.
